Corvallis Beer and Blog

Beer and Blog is a free meet up that takes place every Wednesday from 5pm until at least 7pm at Cloud9 in Corvallis, OR. Bloggers and Twitters from the local scene show up and we help each other with our blogs.

Corvallis Software Association of Oregon Chapter

The Software Association of Oregon (SAO) fosters an environment that fuels the growth of Oregon’s software industry. Members enjoy exceptional networking and educational opportunities, critical workforce development programs, and valuable member services. Members range from start-up software developers, established industry leaders, IT organizations, to providers of services to the industry.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run Willamette Valley is a non-profit, after-school program for girls in grades 3rd-8th, that combines health education and running. 10-week sessions are offered every spring, summer and fall. A community 5K concludes every season.

Ignite Corvallis

A series of 5-minute presentations of 20 slides that rotate automatically after 15 seconds. Topics vary greatly. Check out the site for examples of past presentations.

Leadership Corvallis

Leadership Corvallis was created in 1992 to identify Corvallis’ and Benton County’s “best and brightest” citizens and offer a 10-month program that equips them to provide leadership within their own community. An advisory board comprising community leaders helps develop topics and interacts with participants as guest speakers and session facilitators.

Science Pub

Cool science presentations in an informal atmosphere where you can interact with experts and where there are no silly questions. No scientific background is required – just bring your curiosity, sense of humor, and appetite for food, drinks, and knowledge!
